MACC
The mission of the Middle Creek Area Community Center (MACC) is to providea wholesome environment with leadership that fosters unity, social and emotional stability, high moral standards, and physical fitness through friendly competition and good fun, without regard to age, sex,race, color, creed, national origin, religious belief, or financial ability. The community center is a non-sectarian, community-based organization dedicated to meeting the needs of the citizens in the communities it serves.
Haven Ministry
The mission of Haven Ministry is to respond, through faith in God's covenantal relationship with us, to the basic needs of God's people by providing emergency shelter, nurturing, and advocacy for individuals and families in the Central Susquehanna Valley Area.
Pennsylvania Wounded Warrior, Inc.
Pennsylvania’s veterans have served their nation in every conflict. Many of these men and women are recovering physically, mentally or emotionally at a military hospital, Veteran’s Administration medical facility or with their families at home – and need financial support. PAWW is an independent statewide non-profit 501(c)(3)organization providing support to Pennsylvania Wounded Warriors, Veterans in Crisis, and their families. We are not affiliated with nor a part of any national organization, including Wounded Warrior Project, and we do not receive any funds from them. We provide emergency financial assistance to veterans to help pay for housing, utilities, transportation, medical and other expenses. We pay directly to landlords, vendors and creditors.
American Red Cross
The American Red Cross serving Central Pennsylvania provides vital services to the 21 county regions 365 days a year—from responding to home fires in local neighborhoods to teaching first aid and CPR to community groups
SUNCOM Industries
SUNCOM Industries is a nonprofit, human services agency, which helps people with developmental and physical disabilities improve the quality of their lives. Our goal is to provide the vocational training and skill development for individuals to grow to their fullest potential.
Susquehanna Valley Women In Transition,
SVWIT our focus remains as it has been since 1975 - helping survivors of violence transition to lives of safety and independence. Through the years we have transitioned and expanded our services to meet the needs of women, men and children who are victims of domestic violence, sexual assault and other serious crimes - hence the name, TRANSITIONS.
The Regional Engagement Center
The Regional Engagement Center (R.E.C.) is a multi-generational community center serving eastern Snyder County. The R.E.C. was created in response to the 2014 Community Action Plan developed by the Snyder County Coalition for Kids. The top three priorities for the SnyderCounty Coalition for Kids are to decrease youth drug abuse, decrease youth anti social behaviors, and provide positive social opportunities for youth in the Snyder County Area. The Regional Engagement Center’s focus is on accessible resources for community members and youth development during their most vulnerable times, primarily after school and during the summer.
St. Jude Hospital
The mission of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is to advance cures, and means of prevention, for pediatric catastrophic diseases through research and treatment. Consistent with the vision of our founder Danny Thomas, no child is denied treatment based on race, religion or a family's ability to pay.
