July, 2010 - IWF Product Release
Bingaman & Son Lumber, Inc. now offers Thermo-Treated
hardwood. The chemical-free, thermal modification process creates lumber
offering dimensional stability, outdoor durability, and a rich brown tint
and wood grain appearance in 12 species. See Thermo-Treated hardwood samples
and Bingaman Lumber at the IWF show in Atlanta at booth No. 4546 starting
August 25th thru August 28th.
May, 2008 - IWF Product Release
Bingaman & Son Lumber, Inc. recently completed SmartWood's COC audit procedure authorizing Bingaman to sell certified wood products in the Pure, Mixed, and Controlled Wood categories. Bingaman Lumber maintains an average inventory of 2.5 million board feet of kiln-dried lumber in 12 different species: Basswood, Beech, Birch, Cherry, Hard Maple, Hickory, Poplar, Red Oak, Soft Maple, Walnut, White Ash, and White Oak. Bingaman Lumber (www.bingamanlumber.com) will be attending the IWF show in Atlanta in August at booth No. 4952.

On Sept 29th 2006 the employees of Bingaman and Son Lumber became part owners of the company. Over 8,000 shares of Bingaman and Son Lumber stock were purchased by the Employee Stock Ownership plan. Congratulations to all Bingaman, Bing C, Pine Creek and St Marys employees!!!

Bingaman & Son Lumber Inc., is pleased to announce the purchase of St Marys Lumber Company, a sawmill production facility employing 20 people, located in St Marys, Pennsylvania. Bingaman & Son Lumber leadership is excited that current management and staff of St Marys Lumber will be joining our family of companies. Furthermore, we believe that St Marys procurement expertise and strategic geographical location will strengthen our ability to service our customers.

As Bingaman and Son Lumber grows and changes we will continue to seek improvement and respond to our customer needs. With this in mind we are pleased to make the following announcements.
First, our Vice President of Operations, Dean Heintzelman, one of the three owners of Bingaman and Son Lumber, will now be Executive Vice President. Dean has been with Bingaman since its incorporation in 1968. Dean will continue his broad leadership in all areas of the company with a focus in the areas of quality and customer satisfaction.
Our Controller Scott Hurst has been promoted to Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Scott has been with Bingaman and Son Lumber since 1994 handling our accounting department and office staff. He is a CPA and graduate of Elizabethtown College.
Our current director of Dimensions, Tim Faust has been promoted to Vice President of Manufacturing. Tim has been with Bingaman since 1979 performing various tasks including lumber handling, inspecting lumber and supervising specific machines. When Bingaman began manufacturing, Tim accepted the challenge and has been Director of Dimensions since 2000.
Our current Director of Corporate development and Information Technology, Scott Shaffer, has been promoted to Vice President of Yard Operations. Scott began his career in the yard at Bingaman working part time since 1976. In 1984 Scott began handling all of our Information Technology needs.
Finally Dale Hassinger, formally with CSSI (Computer Support Services Inc.) will be joining our company as our IT manager. Dale has been working with us handling our extra computer needs for the last couple of years.
In recognition of the changing marketplace we are pleased to inform you of these changes effective January 23rd (Dale will be starting in February). BSL has great confidence in these individuals and we appreciate your support during this transition.
